Almost Home!

Almost Home

I John 3:2

Long and hot shines the sun, draining my strength away.

All toil no rest, can even one suggest, as this seems our constant pay,

That as each one acts, has not been a fact upon any given day.

But in this lies hope, I’m almost home come that month of May.

A heavy weight upon these shoulders with bricks held in these arms.

A mad exhaustion fills my chest, causing thoughts of despair as norm.

These pains never ceasing as only feel increasing amidst a constant storm.

But in this lies hope, I’m almost home, as I envision that golden shore.

Forever pounding upon these knees as duty calls every hour.

The pressure endured marching to meet the order creates strains matched only by Satan’s power.

With each mile before each step cannot ignore repetitive thrusts felt like a shower.

But in this lies hope, I’m almost home, seeing that field of flowers.

Anxious is the mind as it watches non-stop for the enemy’s attack.

A ready poise, tension ever-present, never knowing what’s at one’s back.

A thought pervades causing one to give up, let loose, turn around, look back.

But in this lies hope, I’m almost home, as I finish my race upon this track.

This too shall come to pass as that imminent day shall surely be,

When all work of sweat and blood comes to a halt with a new goal to be seen.

That finish line! What a site t’will be, as a special prize waits just for me.

I can see my hope, I’m almost home, as I seek my passage to lead me safely.

I’ve finally stepped ashore and see that I’m not alone in fear.

Greeted with fresh, loving faces of which I hold in my heart so dear.

One in particular holds my gaze now standing before me here.

This is my hope, I’m home!

To our soldiers in harm’s way.

Stay focused, stay strong, stay determined,

Worth It All!

Worth It All

A broken foot, a torn ACL, an arthritic shoulder, a paralyzed member

Are a few examples of what we face whether business man, pastor or military soldier.

This truth can make a day of endurance extremely long and hard.

But we shall all conquer our tasks as we are led by the Spirit’s strong arm.

A battle of the wills is what is faced with contempt every day.

Decisions must be made but oftentimes they’re much delayed.

Especially those ones that involve travel never taken in such a style

As to require persistence, discomfort or denial, until you see that golden rainbow

At the end of that long trekked mile.

Endurance, for a time, is what is vital when determining to stay the course.

Our eyes, at times, will waver by the choices we’ve made, not by force.

A thousand excuses we’ll have at hand, none of which will ever be enough.

The help we need comes only from the hills where dwells our Comforter of love.

So, we face each day not with ease but full confidence

That these hardships we encounter prepare us for our inheritance.

Unable to avoid these imminent facts of life as unpleasant as they may seem

We put our hands to the plow looking beyond to that future soon to be.

That day, soon to be, shall come when troubles shall all cease,

Sorrow shall be no more and our minds shall be at ease.

We all, who are in Christ Jesus, will then be perfect just like Him.

We’ll not toil, we’ll not struggle, we’ll not strive in a world so grim.

But for now this life creates strains nearly unbearable at times.

We don’t know what to think or do so our thoughts often rest on “Why?”

Our Comforter remains at our side to strengthen and lead us along.

So, don’t live in despair but remember He’s always there

To provide as He carries us on.

The pains we endure, the weakness with which we labor,

Shall all be a foreign theory as on that day we see our Savior.

Be not afraid to give your best as you serve because of His call.

For on that day which we long to see we’ll understand it was worth it all.

Because of Christ,

Safe Haven!

Safe Haven

In times like these it’s a blessing to know
That I have a Savior to Whom I can go. (Ps. 55:22/1Peter 5:7)
In His presence I’ll rest for all eternity
Because He has His loving arms wrapped around me. (John 10:28&29)

The future is a time I shall not fear.
For I know my LORD and my God is always near. (Ps. 145:18)
He holds me safe in His loving arms
Working plans of hope and not of harm. (Jer. 29:11)

I have put the Lord always before me.
Because of Him I shall not fall. (Ps. 16:8)
His hand of protection will keep me in safety
Working His will in my life no matter what may befall.

I shall praise the Lord my God
For all of His goodness and grace unto me. (Ps. 13:6)
I will thank Him for His loving-kindness
And of His mercies I shall sing. (Ps. 89:1)

I’ll put my faith in God no matter what’s at stake
Relying wholly upon Him alone and trusting fully in His grace. (2Cor. 12:9&10)
He is my God, my Savior and Lord.
In Him will I rest and trust forevermore.

One Wish!

If I Had One Wish

If I had one wish to make

What would I do?

Perhaps I’d be in the Olympics

Paddling a canoe.

With strength of fury

In my arms,

Racing for the finish line,

I’d beat the others,

Just in time.

Or maybe baseball is what I’d play.

Like outfielders Dave Justice

Or Ken Griffey, Jr.,

Throwing the runner

Out at the plate.

Or hey !!

Running sounds great.

I’d like to be

Like Carl Lewis,

Jumping my way to victory.

But I think I’d settle

For the simpler things,

Like running down the road,

Jumping over fences,

Or even climbing trees.

Or maybe one more race

Against my cousins would be neat.

Running back and forth

And back and forth,

Never knowing when I’ll be beat.

The simple pleasures

In life are P.H.A.T.

It’s pretty cool

Others can do all that.

In this state, however, I am in,

Therefore, will I be more than content.

It’s a fact, because I have friends like you.

And a Lord

Who is just and Who is true.

In struggles it’s hard sometimes.

Yet through it all I know

That the Lord is right by my side.

And thank the Lord

You’re there also.

If I had one wish to make

What would I do?

Beyond a shadow of a doubt,

I would wish to make it clear,

That, in Christ, as a brother,

I love and thank you my friend.

In Christ for eternity,

Marcus Twisdale (MR.T.)

Phil. 4:11

How Great is Thy Grace!

How Great is

Thy Grace

How great is thy grace, O Lord

That it would sustain my soul?

Bringing life and joy to this Thy vessel

With blessings so rich and full.

If I Your servant could describe

The immensity of Your touch

I fear that I would deceive myself

And would, as a fool, not assume enough.

For Thy grace defies explanation

It’s far more than a simple comprehension.

There’s majesty in that act of Yours.

Much more than comes to my attention.

I speak as a man, for I am just that

Though saved by the love of my Lord.

By His sovereign act and choice of life

I am placed with Him in one accord.

Through the pain and suffering this present life can bring,

Thy grace does keep me strong.

Though frustrated with imperfection in this world

I am kept safe and secured to carry on.

Your grace holds the strength needed in the opportunity

To serve and please the One I love.

By living with peace surpassing all understanding

And relying upon hope

I am convinced with exceeding joy

That I’ll soon see the Lord of all Who sits upon the throne above.

Though the grace of God cannot be fully realized.

I do know what I’ve been taught.

Though it is not fully understood, it remains a fact

Grace is what God hath wrought.

Swing To Me!

Swing To Me

The sun is setting

Swing, that’s what I’ll do.

I’ll swing to heaven and be with You;

Swinging high, touching the sky,

Singing “Holy, holy, holy,”

I’ll stand by Your side.

No fears nor worries, trials or troubles;

With peace surrounding I’ll rest in you.

Finally running into You with arms spread wide

I’ll walk with Him Who’s faithful and true.

What an awesome sound I will hear

When Jesus calls out my name, saying,

“Well done my faithful servant.”

No experience will ever be the same.

Swing, I cannot, to the heavens above,

But on earth I can serve Him now.

With limbs so weak and a heart no stronger

I’ll glorify Him Who’s so much bigger.

A fact of eternity that will be

When in Life it is my Author I’ll see.

Working in and through this vessel of clay

To bless my Lord’s heart and see the fruit one day.

So for now, I’ll wait in this time to soon pass.

I’ll sway in my swing which is among the grass.

And for now to Jesus I will cling

And in Him will I wait and serve as I sway in my swing.

Because of Christ,

Matt. 11:28-29

The Lord is Here!

The Lord is Here
Exodus 33:14

We make ourselves anxious of what the future will soon be.
We think not upon the truth but that which we cannot see.
Our minds are distracted and entangled in misery
Because we focus not on the promises of Scripture but fear only possibilities.

Trusting this world to lend a helping hand has always led us to despair
With confidence blinding the eyes of discernment showing only thin air.
Tears of distress flow down a solemn face presenting a spirit of little care
Trying to find a ray of hope, all too often forgetting the Lord is here.

Struggles persist as we hunt for an answer to satisfy our selfish desires,
One that will bring a spark to the eyes, put a smile on the face and show the blue skies.
Lo, comfort remains all but within reach as into the abyss we peer,
Seeing only the storms that continue in life and everyday forgetting the Lord is here.

Could it be in spite of the trials we face our God would have a plan?
Whether our trouble is for a time or designed to dwell with us till the day we die
Much will never be answered nor amended because of what we hold so dear.
We must endure our errors as we keep forgetting our faithful Lord is here.

May we recognize during times of tribulation as the impossible seems to overwhelm us
The hardships we encounter and the trials we face exist to show God’s power.
As a power far greater than our own it is stronger than all of our fears.
That everlasting power is greatly neglected as we take for granted our awesome Lord is here.

My friend, may we persevere by the Spirit within as trials are bestowed upon us.
Don’t walk out on Him Who came to live within but yield, claiming victory through Christ.
So, let us forget not while facing trials God’s grace will always provide.
Never failing but guiding step by step He’ll remain forever by our side.

Serving always the King of kings,
Marcus Twisdale

Opportunities!

Opportunities

Many days there are when our paths cross an unpleasant track; causing us, in a good or bad light, to make an impact. A sickness lingers causing bed rest or a gash on our finger putting our patience to the test.  Then someone asks “How are you on this day?  But we miss our chance to tell of God’s love and instead of the Spirit’s power they hear of the price we had to pay.  Would we stop to realize God is there desiring to use these times, that others may see and understand His love for us and His care divine?  Let us recall to mind when situations of unrest arise that the Lord our God, our Creator knows best for He is wise.

How often do we forget when times of tougher stances seem to need our knowledge and intellect with Almighty as the second string?  Our disgust becomes manifest as situations go amiss.  We respond in anger to what’s beyond our control and still in haste, with contempt, we wish to resist.  No sense of humility, no thought of doing wrong, we just wish to prove to others that we’re as right as the day is long.  A harsh response, a hateful word, a comment of disgust better left unheard.  We forget to prove to others by the words we tend to give that our God is gracious and merciful dwelling in us while for Him we live.  So, let us once again be mindful to speak the words of God aright, as children of the Kingdom presenting Christ, at all times, in a holy light.

Yet, there are times which we must face that seem to slow us down.  A broken ankle or torn ACL has left us in pain and now cast bound.  Ample time is with us now to show God’s grace and grow by speaking of His goodness, omniscience and awesome power; telling others of how things might’ve been worse and how His hand of healing is at work that very hour.   But in the place of praise and glorying we choose to see ourselves.  A man of sorrows, “Woe is me!” with anger and disgust we choose to tell.  Might we understand that God knows our needs; our sufferings are there to glorify Him more.  But no, we rather ponder on not letting this slow us down, neglecting our duty to comfort another as had been done for us by our Lord.

Now the hardest point in life one might need to endure is when the news has come before him that the injury incurred contains no cure.  “What am I going to do?” “Lord help me, please!”  These words of distress remain his constant plea.  Like Paul, beloved apostle, that thorn may never go away.  But that obstacle we see is not a barb of hindrance in life.  It’s an occasion to exalt the Lord our God as we wait for Him day by day.

In times of sickness, injury or distress let it be remembered Hope is always here.  With God as our strength we are complete and when the pains of life come we have no need to fear.  Therefore, with every barrier we may struggle to find the other side but with Jehovah Jireh our needs will be provided for He is our omniscient Guide.  So, being hedged about by the protection of our King let us focus on the Lord of light.  With every opportunity let the Lord our God be seen whether in comfort or be it in pain and strife.

You Showed Me!

You Showed Me

You showed me the love of the Father when you concerned yourself with me.  You didn’t just welcome an individual that Sunday but with pen in hand you sought a time to help this servant grow.  A man who had more scheduled than time to use still yet made time as he planned an opportunity.  That attitude of concern was not in vain for it has been shown that your cares to guide and offer advice have gone a long, long way.  By God’s love and wisdom you’ve helped me become the servant I am today.

You showed me true dedication as week after week you prepared.  You spent equal time with family, friends and the word of God which you shared.  Toiling and dwelling over the words of God for us you sought to teach us more that we in turn would choose to draw closer to our Lord.  It was your prayers I noticed that kept you going strong.  As God heard your plea He gave you your daily need and as a result you gave back by giving as your heart did long.

You showed me that waiting is more than twiddling your thumbs as you persevered daily in other matters until God answered.  A few concerns have become evident as I later came to know.  Giving you’re all for a matter that was laid on your heart you never seemed concerned with reaping but only with that action to sew.  You never lost focus before or after God answered, always targeting the next task ahead.  Waiting, for you, I’ve seen, involves working for His plan, serving for His purpose.  That’s what you’ve done and continue in, never standing still but serving with a fervent heart which is what God commanded, it’s what His Word has said.

You showed me a disciple’s heart of compassion as Jesus showed for the multitude of five thousand.  Your compassion showed concern as you waited manifesting your dedication.  Out of love your sympathy revealed more than research and preparation.  Your compassion exposed the truth to me of which many never know and crowds never see: hours upon hours to find the truths you preach, stepping aside from a tiring task to pray with and encourage one going into surgery.

Your love for our Savior has taught me much since I’ve known you and still you never cease to encourage me as you continually help me to grow.  Your compassion of care and dedication has helped me to be today who you see, and desire to be, according to Scripture: a servant used exclusively for God’s glory.

From a sheep to his shepherd, thank you!

What A Life!

What A Life!!!

It's a blessing:
When you wake up in the morning
When you see a friend
When you encourage someone
When you get hit by a ball and get up for the next call
When you feel a cool summer breeze
When you lose all you have and remain on your knees
When you take a dive and get a black eye
When you see the sun shining high
When you see all there is in a clear blue sky
When you take a fall instead of a walk
When you have a tube down your throat for two 1/2 weeks and are unable to talk
When you get up just to get knocked down just to get up just to get knocked down again just to get up again
When you fall from those rungs so the wind gets knocked out of your lungs
When you gain more than you lose
When you lose more than you gain
When you meet a road block but get through inspite
When you do your best only to fail
When you go to school and make a bad grade
When you use all you have with nothing left to give
When you become an uncle thrice
When you exceed your limit in ways that weren't expected
When you know you can't do what once was a part of you
When you receive a second chance not to mention a third to boot
When you have friends comfort you who you never knew before
When you feel an earthquake while you're lay'in in bed, but it's just a little one so you wait for more instead
When you have sadness instead of happiness for a time
When you see the future shining bright despite the troubles you face today
When P-P-Pammie considered me good enough to be her brother in Christ despite what I believe she could see
When you fight the fight persevering with the Spirit as your Guide and Hope
When God thinks of you at a time when no one else does
When God’s grace provides yet another chance
When you share Christ to a lost soul and make Him known
When you know God has a purpose for circumstances @ hand
When you’re held back time and time again but still your faith and trust remains in Him
When you have nothing left but Christ and Him alone

I've received a blessing for 29 years; Twenty-nine years, and counting, of which I do not, neither did not deserve.

God Bless
Isaiah 41:10

The Fire of Refinement!

God’s refining fire should be our desire.

As His children, from trials, we will never rest.

Let us persevere and God’s wisdom to acquire

Rejoicing and praising Him as He puts us to the test.

That test is determined by the cross we carry ever day,

A cross with which we bear trials, one that proves our Lord’s power;

A cross that purges, leading along God’s pathway;

One that causes joy, despite difficulties, every hour.

Are you being refined?  Have you determined to submit?

You must decide to take that step, suffer and stand in the face of temptation;

Acting not on pleasure for pleasure’s sake, accepting God’s word and His decision make.

Tests in life are to purify and strengthen for God’s glory that we may press on,

Holding strong as a servant of the King,

That through determination we may prove Him in everything.

Are you being refined?  Will you persevere though obstacles block the way?

You are commanded to strive for Him and Him alone.

Therefore make a choice, count the cost, know the price, then continue to grow.

The key is pushing on through trials that seem impossible.

It is step-by-step through faith in following our Savior’s lead,

That through perseverance we may follow Him and through persistence we may succeed.

Are you being refined?  Have you become His disciple?

You have a choice to make whether to quit or to follow.

That choice is a decision that is made only by you.

It’s a judgment made to give up yourself and allow God’s glory to shine through,

Bearing that cross with pride and discernment for Him who lives for you,

That through being a disciple we may prove our Lord who is just and true.

Are you being refined?  Are you conforming to His will?

You must rely on your Creator, for this task you cannot fulfill.

You may try if you wish but by your flesh you will fail.

But trust in the Lord and His Spirit shall prevail making you complete in Him.

He shall guide you by His hand and help you finish what He began.

That through this transforming power the world may see and know Him.

Are you a marked man?  Have you been through the fire?

You have a promise from Him that He’ll remain by your side.

His presence is proof you are sealed and with that He is your guide.

To remain by your side though the fire of trials burn hot within.

With His seal we are secure and by His Spirit we shall win,

That through faith and trust in this life, one day, face-to-face, we shall forever see Him.

Fiery trials, tests of faith, victory in all, only by God’s grace;

These are times of development when the soul is purified,

Being conformed to the image of the Father’s Son

For by His wisdom and strength are we sanctified.

His Hand!

                                                His Hand Alone

The hand of the Lord has led us here. (Ps. 106:9)

His almighty grace and providence has provided.

By His strength, through the years, we shall persevere (2Cor. 12:9)

Day by day, with every breath, as we are guided.

As we are here serving Him with our free-will gifts

Through joys and trials let us glorify Him as we live.

In all we accomplish let it be for our Lord. (1Cor. 10:31)

For it is He Who will sustain us; it is He Who will freely give.

Jehovah is our God and Christ our Savior-King.

He is our Rock in the midst of the tempest. (2 Samuel 22:2)

Though our flesh and heart shall fail

He’ll remain our portion, He’ll be our rest. (Matt. 11:28&29)

By His promise to give, we shall receive as we ask,

In His name, abundantly more not less. (Jer. 33:3)

So let us seek His presence and call upon Him as this day begins.

For He is our Provider and our trust. (Ps. 78:20)

My Lord and my God, how great Thou art, I dedicate this day to You.

As Your servant and child I’m thankful I belong to You. (Gal. 3:29)

I’ll stand by Your word in service today

And with perseverance, rely on Thy strength to carry me through. (1Peter 4:11)

Lead me by Thy hand and guide me to do Your will not mine. (Neh. 9:19)

For I cannot achieve my best this day without Your Spirit’s power.

I will not fear but be of good courage for You are not far. (Deut. 31:6)

As the star in the east, lead me by Your grace this hour.

I’ll trust in You with this day at hand (Ps. 9:10)

With my eyes on my King following Him and His commands.

By Your grace and providence I shall stand. (Ps. 145:9)

For I am here to serve You only by Your hand.

                                                                                                         Lord bless you this day,

When I!

When I

When I see Him as that day shall come and look upon His face

And know at long last the depth of the love of Him who saved me by His grace.

When I look upon Him, resting in His arms, knowing my days of struggle have past

At present means infinitely far more than ever this wretched soul could ask.

When I look upon those nail-pierced hands punctured because of me;

The ones that bore the weight of my Savior Who hung, crucified in agony,

Now means I’m justified, a son of the eternal King.

I belong to Him, so one day I’ll be dwelling with Him in the midst of His glory.

When I gaze upon those nail-pierced feet that carried my Savior ’til Golgatha’s death.

Those feet of my Lord which carried the gospel and then bore the weight of every breath

Means I’ve been forgiven, no longer condemned, free of Death’s vice.

All because my Lord paid something I could not, His life, the ultimate price.

When I watch those arms wrap around His child and feel the strength of Him who loved me much

As He welcomes me home, “Well done my faithful one!” guiding me forward with His touch;

That means I have a Comforter to guide, to offer strength, instruction and at times a place to hide.

He is my Director in this life I now live, Who in me forever shall abide.

When I see those eyes sparkling as the crystal sea which gaped upon his son that day

Acknowledging His tenderness toward him and dwelling with him whatever comes his way

Now means I’ll never be forgotten because in His word He promised He’d never forsake me.

Therefore I know I’m secure as He watches over me, in safe hands I know in his presence I’ll ever be.

When I meditate upon Christ’s saving grace and understand, in part, the love that He showed

I realize none other could ever give the gift He graciously bestowed.

As for now I dwell on earth with my Lord, my God, my Savior, my King.

For now I see through a glass so darkly dim, but in full I will know on that day when I shall see Him.

Waiting until He comes,

Marcus Twisdale

Dedication, He's the One!

Dedication, He’s The One

Dedication, that’s the key. Dedication’s the path for me.
Dedication builds character. Dedication makes the man.
It’s the difference between my foundation on the Rock and my sinking in the sand.
Dedication makes me strong. Dedication makes me whole.
It’s that step of faith that leads me to walk instead of crawl.

To be dedicated involves my decision to stand, not alone but by command.
That command that set the standard is the one that sets the goal.
Dedication strengthens so I can continue. He strengthens so I can say,
“I’ve done my best with what I’ve had. I’ve done it good and that’s not bad.
I never gave up or gave in. It wasn’t by the strength without but that which was within.”

Dedication, He’s the mark of the strong. He’s the One that brought me to this point.
In Him my life takes shape. In Him I’ll succeed because He will not quit.
Dedication will provide when all else fails. Because His character is perseverance, He blazes the trails. Pushing with heart and a will to perfection, it’s the goal of Dedication to finish well.

There is no exception, no excuse to give up. I’ve given myself to surrender my desires and by His power I’ll not let up. That evidence of Dedication is a thrilling thought indeed. But unless I hold on to Him with all my might and trust He’ll bring me through then all my desires and thoughts of completion will be nothing more than an unplanted seed.

It’s Dedication that makes the man. I believe that with all my heart.
By Him I’ll look my tasks in the face with all intention of success and say, “I know my goal. I will not back down. My flesh can distract me or drive me in the ground. I’ll trust in Christ with all my heart. I’ll get back on my feet. From that goal I’ll not depart. Dedication brought me here. Dedication will take me home. But while the latter is still on hold I will not dwell and roam. I’ll plant my feet on Him Who strengthens me.
I’ll stand strong and firm by Dedication for He is the key.”

God bless and keep you always for His glory,
        Marcus Twisdale

The Love of God

God’s Everlasting Love

How can I express the love of God but in words?  An act so unique I cannot rival it by desire or by works.  For His love is marvelous leaving me astonished at how through it He withholds not giving as He has promised.  As I stand in awe I see that God’s love has done what the world cannot and forever great it shall be.  It reached out to me, a sinner who was lost.  I was trapped in darkness, trusting myself at all cost.  Then, as the sun’s rays, breaking through the dark, stormy clouds of yesterday; so His wonderful work of love pierced this heart and changed my life, to be eternally saved!  The love of God is marvelous because of its works which none other can do.  Those works of love which provide for, protect and empower, fill the servant who is faithful and true.

Yet, this love from above is not only a work of wonder but it sheds forth grace abundantly.  It supplies every need by granting daily bread, which is the sustenance of the soul continually. I’m speechless at the fact that through Him I have all I require.  By His grace, I’ll survive, as He walks with me through the fire.  And as times arrive, calling for His strong hand, the Lord will intervene showing He is in command.  Like a surgery performed that a soldier might live again; so by God’s love blessings are given to those of His fold who stand strong to fight for Him.  This love provides much of which we do not deserve.  It is freely given to those who follow providing strength and ammunition as we serve.

God’s merciful love to us is eternal because of Jesus Christ His Son.  His acts of love are perpetual reaching out to everyone.  This love sees through the crimson stained soul reaching out to all for to save.  Though few heed the call, still God knocks, ceasing not ‘til the end of days.  His mercies are why we are not consumed.  These acts of love are many, for all have been given a second chance.  Even though we fail often because we falsely assume, God’s love directs time and time again that we may bless Him as He guides us in His steps.  As the prodigal son received a home of which he disregarded days ago; so by His merciful love God shows the heirs of the Kingdom they are cared for by the acts of compassion which He always shows.

This love is immense, spanning centuries past and those still yet to come.  The power of this love is such that it changes lives.  It allows many to see who could not before, believing the truth when once they saw only lies.  It’s vision cannot be seen in just the past or the present but rather in Jesus Christ.  For He came to save those which are lost by giving His life for us by paying the ultimate price.  That love shown to us 2,000 years ago, still reaching out to everyone of status high or low, abides within our Savior, Jesus, Messiah, the King, spreading joy and giving life causing His children to sing, “Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty.”  Our Lord has done much for us because of this love He has.  Still much will be done because His love will continue as it began in the past.  Like a strong stern-wind pushing a vessel onward, God’s love will faithfully guide us because it will eternally last.

Worship Him!

Worship Him

In this life I live I’ll serve my God.

For it is by Christ Who dwells within.

In death I will not die but I’ll be forever with my Lord

For eternity, by His side, I’ll worship Him.

So while I live let me serve the Lord my God.

While I breathe let me please and honor Him.

With every breath I take may I glorify His name

One day to see Him face to face never to depart from Him again.

Our God is great,

Marcus Twisdale

A Quest For Youth!

A Quest for Youth

We’re on a mission,
The quest has just started.
Isn’t it pleasant to know
From Him we have not departed?

You’re living the life,
You’re running the race,(2Tim. 4:7)
You’re all being diligent
In seeking His face.

That’s a clear picture
Of what you’re called to do.
Just like Matthew 28,(Matt. 28:19&20)
That statement refers to you.

Our mission here at YouthQuest
Needs no amount of elaboration.
You’re here for the Lord exclusively
To give those kids an education.

So put your masks aside,
And with God’s help
You’ll not grow weary.(Isa. 40:31)
Determine to serve the Lord
And witness to those kids,
Giving everything you’ve got.(2Tim. 2:5)

Knock and the door
Shall be opened unto you.
That’s what Jesus said.
Seek and ye shall find.
That’s how the Bible
Is suppose to be read.(Matt. 7:7)

You cannot use your own strength,
Fluttering all about.
You cannot use your organization and skills
To make it all work out.(2Cor. 3:4&5)

So let’s rely upon the Lord.
And when things get tough,
Just do what the motto says
And get a little bit tougher.
Don’t do it by your own strength,
Nor by the strength of others.
The Lord is your portion forever,(Ps. 73:26)
So do it by His strength alone.(2Cor. 12:9)

During the time you have
You need to give those kids everything.
And when you feel worn out,
Remember perseverance is the key.

The key is who?
You got it, it’s Jesus.
And that my friend is a fact.
If you don’t believe that statement is true,
Just remember one thing,
The exit is stage left.

Do you remember what I said?
The quest has just started.
So lets run and not faint,
Lets serve the Lord with everything.
And lets show those kids that Jesus Christ
Is the Truth, the Light, the Way.(John 14:6)

Christ’s servant forever, and then some,

God is Faithful!

God is Faithful

Faithful is He, He is our God of comfort.
Faithful is He Who will sustain you.
He will not let you fall.  He cares for you (Ps. 55:22).
Our God, no matter what the tempest, will always see His children through.

Faithful is the hand of God that guides
Through times of uncertainty and days of dark stormy seas.
His grace will keep us for He is our mighty King (IICor. 12:9).
The One Whom the Christian finds when he falls to his knees.

Faithful is the arm of God that protects you.
His arm which moves mountains will secure you
To lift you up when in weakness you stumble.
He will never lead you to darkness nor cause you to succumb to trouble.

Faithful are the promises of God that will keep you.
It is a faithful saying, what He started He will continue.
Our God began a good work in you for His glory
And that work He will perform until Jesus we shall see.

Faithful is our God in affliction of which in this life He’ll bring.
But by His grace and mercy you can forever sing
Of Him Who will not leave nor forsake you but keep you by His love.
Of this we can be assured because He is our God Who reigns above.

Faithful is the calling of God, our Lord and Savior
Whose plan shall be fulfilled through those who love Him.
He will give you grace to serve Him and strength to carry through
And preserve you blameless until He comes for you.

Our God is faithful, of that there is no doubt.
He’s proven Himself within us and He’s proven Himself without.
Creator of the universe, our Savior, Redeemer, our King,
Is not just faithful to His servants but is faithful in everything.

So I’ll shout in praise to the roof tops, I’ll shout to the tops of the trees.
I’ll shout to the clouds in the heavens, I’ll shout while on my knees.
I’ll shout for He hath dealt bountifully with me (Ps. 13:6).  By His grace I am sustained.
Faithful is our God and King Who is always the same and will never, ever change.

Because of His faithfulness,
